TETHiK Sustainability Overview 2025 (Inaugural Report)
TETHiK was founded in March 2025 with a simple belief: building great technology and being a responsible business should go hand in hand. This inaugural Sustainability Overview summarizes how we are approaching environmental and social responsibility in our first year, and the commitments we are making for the future.
Who We Are
TETHiK is a remote-first technology and services company. Our teams collaborate virtually across locations, helping customers design and deliver solutions while keeping people, performance, and the planet in mind.
Low-Carbon, Remote-First Operating Model
From day one, TETHiK has been fully remote. This model reduces our environmental footprint by:
- Eliminating daily commuting for employees.
- Removing the need for large office spaces and their energy use.
- Making virtual collaboration the default, with travel used only when it clearly adds value.
Net Zero Commitment
We are committed to a long-term Net Zero journey. As we grow, we will:
- Measure emissions from cloud usage, business travel, and equipment.
- Prioritise reducing emissions through smart tooling, limited travel, and efficient operations.
- Use high-quality offsets for emissions we cannot yet avoid.
- Review and share our progress annually, improving our approach over time.
Sustainable Event Management
Most of our engagements and internal gatherings are virtual, which significantly reduces travel and waste. When in-person events are necessary, we:
- Combine meetings to minimise trips and flights.
- Choose venues with good public transport and responsible practices.
- Use digital agendas instead of printed materials and avoid unnecessary swag.
- Work with local, responsible catering partners where possible.
People, Equality, and Growth
Sustainability for us also means creating a fair, supportive workplace where people can thrive. At TETHiK we:
- Treat everyone with fairness, dignity, and respect, regardless of background or identity.
- Base opportunities on skills, effort, and impact, not on titles or location.
- Invest in continuous learning so employees can grow their careers alongside our business.
- Share context about how our work impacts customers, so teams can see and shape real outcomes.
Looking Ahead
As a young company, we know our sustainability work is just beginning. In the coming year we plan to deepen our measurement, set more specific targets, and expand the ways we support both our people and the planet.
This overview is our public commitment: to build TETHiK as a company that delivers value for customers while acting responsibly toward our employees, communities, and the environment.
