From Legacy to Insight: CRMA Modernization

2025-12-06Salesforce AdvisoryConfidential

About the Client

A multi-division enterprise using Salesforce needed to modernize analytics. Legacy CRMA Dashboards and Recipes no longer reflected current business questions, and stakeholders wanted self-serve insights with flexible time ranges and role-based views—without constant analyst support.

Use Case

The client asked for upgraded Salesforce dashboards aligned to current KPIs and decision points, with intuitive filters (time, profile) and consistent drill-downs. In parallel, they wanted to lay the foundation for future analytics by centralizing event logging in Snowflake for cleaner, more scalable CRMA models.

The goal: actionable dashboards now, with a governed data layer that enables an event-log explorer and advanced adoption/operations insights later.

Initial Enhancement Implementation

The team pivoted from analyzing legacy assets to building what the business needs today:

  • Modernized native Salesforce dashboards using CRMA Recipes and Dashboards.
  • Introduced flexible time-range filters (last 7/30/90 days and custom) and profile-aware views.
  • Standardized core KPIs and drill paths to reduce duplication and data drift.
  • Initiated Event Logging migration to Snowflake, defining the model and pipeline for future CRMA consumption.

Solution Approach: Dynamic Dashboards + Future-Ready Data

To deliver value immediately and set up for growth, the solution combined:

  • High-utility dashboards in Salesforce with self-serve filters and role-based visibility.
  • CRMA Recipes to centralize logic and ensure consistent metrics across teams.
  • A governed Snowflake layer for event logs to power an easy-to-digest CRMA event-log view.
  • Design patterns that lower maintenance and speed up ad-hoc analysis.

Business users get faster answers inside Salesforce today, while the Snowflake migration enables richer journey analytics and proactive monitoring tomorrow.

Benefits
  • Actionable dashboards: filter by time and profile to answer real questions quickly.
  • Higher trust: standardized KPIs reduce conflicting reports and rework.
  • Lower analyst load: self-serve views cut ad-hoc requests and turnaround time.
  • Future-proof data: Snowflake event logs prepare CRMA for journey/adoption insights.
  • Faster decisions: consistent drill-downs deliver clarity directly in Salesforce.
